Trying to pin down the going rate for a VA in Texas takes a bit of digging, since rates can swing from a few dollars an hour to well over $40, depending on the scope of work.
VAs in markets like the Philippines typically run $5 to $15 an hour, VAs based stateside usually land between $15 and $35 an hour, and experienced executive assistants can run $25 to $45 an hour or more. The rate mostly comes down to where cost to hire a virtual assistant the VA is based and what you're asking them to do.
Something easy to overlook is whether you're going through a marketplace or hiring through a dedicated placement agency. The hourly rate looks lower going direct, but you take on the screening, training, and backup coverage yourself.
